The odds don’t get much better than in the Bethell Hospice Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Caring for Our Community Lottery. With a limited number of tickets on sale, the chances of winning a brand new 2016 Lincoln MKC SUV are well worth the cost of buying a $20 ticket that could find you driving around town in the style and comfort of a Lincoln compact SUV.
You can increase your odds by purchasing three tickets for $50. The Lincoln SUV is being supplied by Fines Lincoln in Bolton and is valued at $46,000. Tickets went on sale on April 14, and with time running out before the September 24, draw date, local business are coming together to provide one of the last opportunities to purchase a lottery ticket while enjoying a fun day at your local British pub. As community minded members in the area, The Toby Jug in Bolton is partnering with the Caledon Hills Brewing Company for a fun day at the pub where you can enjoy free appetizers and sample some fine Vienna Lager brewed locally by master brewer Stefan Riedelsheimer. “Help us help Bethell Hospice” is the way Bob Fines of Fines Lincoln in Bolton describes the the event that brings businesses together to support a good cause that benefits the local community. Mr. Fines brought the new vehicle to the pub
recently as an opportunity to show what will be a lucky winner’s luxury ride for taking a chance with a $20 lottery ticket. “Come on out and enjoy complimentary appetizers while enjoying a glass of Caledon Hills beer,” said The Toby Jug’s manager, Carolyn Banks, of the event which will take place from 12:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. The Toby Jug is a popular British style pub that has been a favourite place in Caledon for dinner, a drink, and to meet up with your friends. Everything at the Pub is homemade. “We are Bolton’s original British pub,” explained Ms. Banks. “We have a full selection of imported beers and fantastic homemade pub fair. The lottery is a great way to raise money and why wouldn’t you want be involved in your local community?” she said of The Toby Jug hosting an afternoon event and inviting local patrons to drop by and visit. The Caledon Hills Brewing Company is a new micro-brewery in the region operated by Stefan Riedelsheimer and Sebastian Riedelsheimer. They specialize in producing a Vienna Lager that is quickly gaining a reputation for it’s taste and quality. “We want to be good community citizens,”
explained Stefan Riedelsheimer of the brewery’s involvement in the event day. “We want to expose our beer to customers and do something good at the same time.” Stefan studied brewing in his native Germany and has been working in the brewing industry for 25 years. As the region’s newest brewery, Caledon Hills is eager to be involved in the community. “We opened just a month and a-half ago,” said Sebastian Riedelsheimer. “Our beer is called Caledon Hills Premium Vienna Lager. We currently make
one style of beer. We describe it as honey-golden in colour. In a short time it has become the number one seller in several pubs.” Bethell Hospice is a non-profit organization that provides exceptional and accessible palliative care services to individuals and families facing
