Super Duty and super performance at Fines Ford Lincoln
The legendary Ford F-series of trucks have been around for over half a century.
They are the best-selling vehicle in Canada for a reason. Known for being rugged, durable, and reliable while at the same time having superior fuel efficiency and a refined exterior and interior design, the F-series have become the standard that other pickups aspire to be.
The F-150 is the model most people are familiar with.
Popular for work, recreation, or just as a convenient vehicle for traveling around town the F-150 is the all-purpose Ford pickup truck.
However some truck owners need the extra power, towing and load capacity, and superior suspension only a heavy duty truck can provide.
That’s where Ford Super Duty vehicles step up and take on the challenge that few trucks can meet.
Available in the F-250, F-350, and F-450 models, the Super Duty will meet the expectation that any job site, construction site, or farm operation, can toss at it.
The Super Duty series did borrow one innovative design feature from the F-150 – they are now built with a military grade aluminum body that slashes the overall weight of the vehicle providing better fuel economy and allowing other parts to be stronger and heavier without compromising the weight of the truck.
“The beauty of the Super Duty is it has the ability to be an everyday, best in class towing, hauling, work truck, and in 2017 they have packed it with every kind of available luxury you can have in a luxury sedan,” explained Fines Ford Lincoln of Bolton, General Manager Carlos Martins. “They have everything from available 360 degree cameras, navigation technology, to heated and cooled seats. It’s the best of both worlds. For example, if you have a horse farm and you tow a big trailer, this can do it.”
When it comes to the Super Duty line-up, power is key to getting the job done.
Available in two engine designs in both gas and Diesel, these trucks have the capability to haul the toughest loads.
The Super Duty comes with a 6.2L flex-fuel V8 gas powered engine paired with a six-speed transmission which creates 430 lbs.-ft of torque while
punching out 385 horsepower.
For those that need super torque for towing a heavy load, the available 6.7L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel turns out 440 horsepower while providing a whopping 925 lbs.-ft of torque.
With the strongest Super Duty frame ever, the fully boxed ladder frame is engineered from high strength steel and has the ability to tow a massive amount of weight.
With the available gooseneck towing package, the F-350 can tow up to 32,000 lbs and the F-450 model can haul up to 32,500 lbs.
“The number one reason many people buy a Super Duty truck is towing,” explained Mr. Martins. “If you’ve got a big boat or a trailer, or even horses you might find yourself towing at capacity. If you want to tow longer distances on a regular basis that’s when you move up to a Super Duty.”
Inside the Super Duty line-up of trucks driver comfort and convenience is a high priority. This isn’t your old school pickup truck.
Models are available in Regular cab, Super cab, and for when you need to load up extra passengers the SuperCrew cab has seating for up to
six passengers. Rear seats can be folded up for even more inside storage when you need it.
The driver’s cockpit is roomy and well designed with controls easily reachable and convenient.
With a large touch screen on the main console, the Super Duty line of trucks can be equipped with all the latest state-of-the-art technology that drivers have come to expect.
In addition to available 360 degree cameras, including a rear hitch camera to making hooking up your trailer fast and easy, driver assist functions can help you make the most of your vehicle.
Available Lane-Keeping Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control with Collision Warning / Brake Support
add to driver assisted safety on the road.
The Ford F-series have been engineered to be the toughest, smartest, and most capable Super Duty trucks ever built.
