Orangeville Nissan receives high honours
The team at Orangeville Nissan has been awarded the Global Award of Excellence for Overall Performance for their outstanding dedication in the automotive world.
Orangeville Nissan received the award from corporate headquarters for performance by an ‘A Class’ dealership.
Of the thousands of Nissan dealerships around the world, Orangeville Nissan ranked right up at the top competing with dealerships across Canada, the U.S., Japan, and Europe.
The local dealership has won a national Award of Excellence for the past two years however this new recognition tops even those honours as it awarded in a playing field of international status.
“Of the top 50 dealerships in the world, for an ‘A’ class store, we came in at number three. We’re in the top three of ‘A’ class dealerships in the world for overall performance,” explained Mark Pilla, Orangeville Nissan’s Sales Manager.
Dealerships are classed by volume of sales which of course varies with the location of a dealership and proximity to a market.
“Classes are based on volume,” Mr. Pilla explained. “In the past three years we went from a ‘C’ store, to a ‘B’ store, to an ‘A’ store. We sold almost 800 new cars last year.”
Mr. Pilla is quick to point out that it is a team effort at the dealership as well as community support that has allowed Orangeville Nissan to do so well.
“Our team, our culture, our consistency, and our customers is what drives our success. We have great people in this town. We like to give back to the community and the community has given back to us. We have a very devoted staff who are are devoted to their customers. It’s comes back to a big circle. And our product of course. Our product makes my job easy.”

Eeny meeny miny ‘Moe’ – Top sales professional at Orangeville Nissan receives Gold
Maureen (Moe) Lagden, a sales and leasing professional at Orangeville Nissan has been awarded top honours from Nissan Canada for her outstanding sales performance at the dealership and her well known professional and friendly rapport with her customers.
Known as ‘Moe’ to her customers and fellow sales professionals, she has been the top sales person at Orangeville Nissan for the past five years wining a Silver award from Nissan last year and receiving the Gold level award this year.
Moe received the Gold Club Excellence Award from Nissan Canada for her dedication, sales abilities and customer service.
A sales professional in the automotive industry for seven years, Ms. Lagden quickly rose to the pinnacle of her profession becoming the top seller at Orangeville early in her career and the number two sales person for Nissan in all of Central Ontario.
“It was a career change. I like working with people,” she said of making the switch to auto sales after having several totally different careers in her lifetime. “Now that I’ve been here for six years (at Orangeville Nissan) I’m getting a lot of my customers back. I’m getting a lot of my customer’s family and friends. That’s what’s great about it. If you give them great service and a great price people will come back,” Moe explained of her winning strategy of keeping her customers happy and satisfied.
The Gold award means Moe has achieved the highest Nissan goals for customer service, sales, and knowledge of the Nissan lineup of vehicles.
She believes in the cars she sells.
“We have 14 different vehicles with three to four trim levels for each one. We have a vehicle for everybody.”
Her tag line, “Eeny Meeny Miny ‘Moe’, Orangeville Nissan is the way to go,” is a perfect play on an old rhyme and no one forgets her name when they come back to the dealership to buy a new car.
Moe has worked hard to earn and keep a solid reputation with customers in both Orangeville and the surrounding area and as a member of the the automotive industry in Canada.
